Where to eat Italian food in New York

I love Italian food. I love New York. And New York has the best Italian food on offer! Perfect match ๐Ÿ™‚

Here are four of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city – again listed in no particular order.

1. Two Boots

There are numerous locations all over New York – but I mostly head out to the one in Grand Central station for a slice (or an entire pie!) of my favorite pizza, the Tony Clifton. You can always put together your own pizza, but the ones they have on offer make your mouth water just by reading the menu.

2. Frankie & Johnnie’s Steakhouse

This wonderful place has been around since 1926! The service is friendly and messy, typical Italian. Steaks are big and yummy. Head over to their Theatre District location before heading to a Broadway show. It’ll be a night to remember.

3. Carmine’s

Big family style restaurant. There’s a cookbook if you love their spaghetti and meatballs. The portions are huge, I swear I got an entire loaf of bread when I ordered the garlic bread. Order 1 main course of the menu and feed the entire table.

4. Arturo’s

Home of one of the best pizzas I’ve eaten in New York! Watch out though, there are several Arturo’s around in the city, the one that offers the best coal oven pizzas is the one situated at 106 W Houston St. Portions are big, atmosphere is very laid back, also thanks to the live music that’s played.
