Restaurant review: Salade Folle, Bruges

I’m always looking for quaint little places, just off the beaten track, to go to with the husband or with friends. Salade Folle in Bruges is one of these little places where you can go for a quick meal or if you feel don’t like eating in.

There’s no need really to make reservations in advance, but if you want to make sure you’ve got a table, just give them a call.

The interior is very inviting, wooden tables and chairs all over the place. If you’re with a bigger groups, there’s a lovely big table on the first floor with a red and white checkered tablecloth. Service is very very friendly!

If you’re a vegetarian or vegan, there’s quite a lot of choice on the menu. I love to take the veggie quiche or the vegetarian pasta. My husband always goes for the pasta with chicken curry.

There’s a decent wine list too, the Sauvignon Blanc is fresh and crisp! Don’t forget to look at the suggestion board as well, there’s always something nice on there too. Last time, I had the paella with chicken which was good. The portion didn’t look that big at first, but in the end, it was more than enough.

Visit the website Salade Folle for some inspiration on what to order. I suggest you park in the underground parking of the Novotel, called “Katelijne”. The restaurant is just a 2 minute walk away then.

Enjoy and let me know what you think of it!
